One of the first Jewish settlements during the “First Alya” (the large wave of Jews that migrated to Palestine between 1882-1903; there were 5 such waves in total). It was founded by a group of young Zionists who left Safed to found Ja’ouni. We’ll walk along charming streets and see, among other things, a synagogue donated by the Baron Rothschild, the first hotel in the Galilee region, and the house of Prof. Mar, who found a cure for Malaria.
